Back

So this all started because I was invited to go to the Hollywood Premiere of Inglorious Basterds on behalf of Twitter along with a couple others (we had five tickets).
The best part was that I got to walk the red carpet... but with full camera gear. This angered many a Paparazzi and thus resulted in exchanges of words, and threatening to call police and security.
Well. I got through. Made it inside, found our seats. And began eating popcorn.
Before the show started, I made a quick run to the restroom, finished, washed my hands, then exited the restroom only to find 5 large men surrounding the entrance
security: "Excuse me sir, you need to come with us"
me: "Is there a problem?"
security: "You posses a bag underneath your seat that appears to have a camera inside it"
me: "That is correct"
security: "We need to confiscate this bag during the remainder of the premiere"
me: "Ok. Will you take care of it?"
security: "Just come with us sir"
{returned to seat, attained bag, walked back into main security office — security entered passworded door, I followed inside, he then opened a safe and placed bag inside}
me: "So, when this is all over, I can just come back here and get it, right?"
security: "Let us notify the main boss man — continue to come with us"
main security man: "No. We cannot keep anyones belongings, we are not responsible for anything."
security to me: "Let me just have a bit longer to chat with my boss"
me: "No worries"
main security: "Your bag needs to leave the building. I don't care what you do with it outside, but you cannot re-enter with it"
{security + me leave back to security office}
security: "I tell you what, I'll leave it with the gate keeper"
me: "Sounds good. I'll see you after the movie"
{after the movie and lots of exploding nazi's}
I walked up to the security door (with nine-digit keypad security code) and nobody was around.
One man walked out and looked at me: "You going in?"
me: "Why yes I am. Thank you"
{thought to myself, how in the world did THAT just happen!}
I found my bag, left the room, and skipped away as fast as possible.
In the end, all turned out well.
